So, this is a long time coming... I gave this footage to my brother in law about 2 1/2 years ago, and he finally returned it to me. The camera work is a bit shaky, but it doesn't diminish the fact that we could have died running the Provo River while it was at peak flow.

Well it has occured to me as I review the OG Lopez site that what we were trying to do back then is what I am doing right now...Blogging.

Back 'in the year 2000' (note the Conan reference) we kept a series of webpages that were updated regularly to show the world what was happening in the lives of Lopez. We didn't even know that what we were doing would years later catch on and become known as blogging and take the internet by storm.

With ideas and innovations such as these it is clear that one day the Corporate Lopez, which came from the humblest of begginings, will be a force known throughout the land. Onward to glory. Onward!

I noticed they released Halo 3 and something jumped out at me in the article I read:

“Also new is the ability to record a portion of your game -- such as a homemade highlights reel.”

We came up with that idea ten years ago when we used our VCR to record James Bond Goldeneye multiplayer highlights. Remember that one kill in the Temple Level where I shot a rocket launcher at the catwalk above where you get the body armor and someone turned the corner and got hit from downtown in that huge room? Then we would watch the highlights with each other and our dates.

Well boys, this is how it is going to go.

We are going to have a LOPEZ Reunion. All LOPEZ members are invited. Here are the 2 options and neither date is known.

Option 1 - I get married and have the BOMB reception where if you don't show then I don't know you.

Option 2 - The 10 Year Monte Vista Class Reunion for the '97 Grads.

Hopefully it is option 1 and that option 1 happens before option 2. I guess we will do which ever comes first. Just know that sometime in the next year you will need a few days off and the cash to roll out and get funky. So get that money.

Hey thanks for the info. Why not instead of tearing it down you do something about it? As for the summer comment...I am in Provo looking for employment and it looks like I may end up as the new UVSC soccer coach. That would keep me in Provo til December or so. I would love to do it and I'd be the bomb coach. I need to find a job though. I hate looking but I have found the old addage, "it's not what you know, but who you know that matters," to be totally true. This is bad for me because while I have to spend this time working to build networks, Tom is over there powdering his rims and painting his break calipers to match his ride...all for free basically. See for yourself! So besides that I have been golfing a bit and you know what? I finished my last 9 holes par, birdie, par, par. I was only 4 over after 9 holes. Happy day for me. You question the rafting expedition? Well, I know what I know. And when I was stuck under that raft after is capsized and almost died it was as real as it was going to get. Then when we dropped in on the big drop and 15 spectators watched us rally that thing, it was the realest deal. Robb and his wife Dalee just had a baby May 24. It was a midnight child. Born in the wee-est hours of the morning. Congrats to you Bob! Let us know what her name is going to be.

This baby which came a few weeks before the expected due date. This made it impossible for Robb to join us on the rafting expedition. Yesterday it happened. The craziest rafting expedition ever, just as expected. We faced almost certain peril at points. But the glory was ours as we rode the grandest rapid of them all. There will most certainly be images to come. Just you wait...

The Rafting Expedition

It is going down in the Nth degree. The rafting expedition is going to be the sickest non-scout related ride ever. On Tuesday, May 24, Captain Kirk, El Guapo, Snut a.k.a. Puff, and Thee Doctor MD are going to raft the provo river. It is going to be way crazier than when Taco, Bird Boy and Kirk did it about 3 years ago. And better than the senior picinic rafting Bird and Beaver did back in the day.

Guapo has dug a some specs for the upcoming river flow, which I can't seem to upload at the moment. But basically it shows a graph of when the peak water flow will be. And we are going to be riding it just days before it hits its maximum.

Also, the local news stations did all kinds of stories about how fast the rivers are flowing. It is going to be absolutely nuts. It is for this reason we are renting rafts that can handle some real rapids, helmuts, and life jackets. We have some one who will be taking pictures of pieces of the expeditions so stay tuned.

That reminded me of the lyrics I wrote for my boys either on or after the mission. So everyday, until I am done with my library of raps about my boys, I am going to post a little something I wrote.
